In-work benefit advice

A new interactive section on the DirectGov website has been launched to offer advice on the in-work benefits that employees can be entitled to such as council tax and housing benefit.

 

This follows pilots under the 'In and out of work project' where benefit claimants who were going back into the workplace were able to use one point of contact to arrange benefits rather than making separate applications through HMRC, DWP and Local Authorities.
