New rates for statutory payments

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) announced the new rates for Statutory Payments. They can be found on DWP's website.

 

Please note two things:

• the rates are all provisional and still subject to Parliamentary process (to be debated around February 2010);
• the new rates are effective from following dates –
  • SMP, SAP and SPP - 4 April 2010 (the change always takes place on the first Sunday in April);
  • SSP - 6 April 2010 (6 April is the effective date each year).
